I spent a sunny warm Sunday today on HONU, and it is still February, but it is SoCal! Looking like a warm week coming up as well. Lots of boats owners in the marina today shaking the cobwebs out, cleaning up their vessels and going out on the harbor to enjoy the day.
After a great day sail yesterday up to LA Light and back to get the rig tuned up and fly a cruising kite to check it out, I spent today on the boat applying one way vinyl glass wrap on the cabin windows, as well as installing a nice cabinet type retaining door under the stove to keep items securely stowed while underway. BTW, the tinted wrap really worked on lowering the cabin temp almost right away, amazing. Also did some fine tuning on the rig at the dock, after yesterday's sail to check it out, as I did some much needed bulkhead work to strengthen up things up in the chainplate areas. Honu is 50 years old after all!
